From the ancient red walls of Benin to the historic palace in Maiduguri, Nigeria’s most revered thrones are lining up behind the President’s second-term bid, turning the APC Presidential Campaign Council’s palace tour into a full-blown royal carnival.
Benin Throne Declares: Let Him Finish The Good Work
Drama erupted inside the Oba of Benin’s palace yesterday when Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, rose in defence of the President.
Receiving the PCC team led by Senator Abdulaziz Yari, the monarch said Tinubu has lived up to expectations in three years and deserves a renewed mandate.

“For somebody who is doing well, it is our prayer that he gets a renewed mandate,” the Oba declared, urging critics to drop their stones.
Quoting the scriptures — “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone” — he asked Nigerians to join hands with the President. Then, in a moment that sent the palace into cheers, the Oba burst into song, chanting FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s anthem: “As e dey pain them, e dey sweet us.”
Yari had earlier reeled out Tinubu’s scorecard — crash in food prices, naira stabilisation from N1,800/$, and inter-regional road projects — to seek royal blessings ahead of 2027.
Shehu of Borno Hails Security Revival
In Maiduguri, the Shehu of Borno, Abubakar ibn Umar Garba El-Kanemi, added his voice. The revered ruler commended Tinubu for restoring confidence on Nigerian roads, saying he now travels across the country “without much fear of being attacked.”
He prayed for peace and a hitch-free election as Yari and his delegation — including SGF George Akume, Abdullahi Ganduje, Bello Masari, Anyim Pius Anyim and Sunday Dare — sought his prayers.
Royal Wave From Sokoto To Lagos
The Borno and Benin endorsements came barely 24 hours after the campaign train stormed the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar and the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu I, on Monday.
With four first-class thrones already speaking in one voice, the message from the palaces is clear: 2027 is tilting royally towards Tinubu.
