Says I’m hungry for glory

By Toby TAIWO

Super Eagles revelation Femi Azeez is looking forward to playing in the Premier League.

“I had a good season in the Championship and obviously, to do it on the international stage as well was just that next step up,” Azeez told Sky Sports.

“Whenever I achieve something, I’m always hungry for more. I’m never satisfied with what I’ve got.

“I’m always going to work towards that next level because I’m ambitious as a footballer and as a person, and I want to reach as high of a level as possible.

“The Premier League is obviously the pinnacle of football. I’d love to play in the Premier League. So obviously, working hard, I’m going to do whatever I can to get there.”

Azeez, who will be 25 next month, struck twice for the Super Eagles to advance to the final of the 2026 Unity Cup in London.

These heroics have further fueled speculations over his future.

Ipswich Town, who pipped the winger’s club, Millwall, to an automatic promotion ticket to the Premier League, have had several bids for the player rejected.

The latest bid was 20 million pounds, and it was turned down as Millwall are holding out for 30 million pounds.

Azeez, who joined Millwall from Reading in August 2024 for a fee of around a million pounds, scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 35 appearances
