As Osun state counts down to the August 15 gubernatorial election, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has declared its support for current governor Ademola Adeleke.

The NLC state chairman, Christopher Arapasopo said his administration prioritised the welfare of workers, which resulted in their massive support for his reelection.

He said Adeleke has fulfilled all the promises he made to workers by paying the backlog of salary owed by the previous administration.
Arapasopo said: “No one is born to suffer since this administration has treated workers well, we have no choice but to reciprocate through our votes. He has taken care of all the workers including the pensioners.”

Adeleke, Monday, said, he’s not under pressure and fully prepared for the election.

“What I’m going to tell them is that they should not be afraid. This is a democracy, and Nigeria has chosen to practise democracy. They should not be afraid, despite all the intimidation that the Osun APC has allegedly carried out.

“I’m telling them and showing them that democracy and the will of God shall prevail. They should come out to vote,” he added
