Relieved Arteta says I knew Burnley would be tough as Pep announces he’s leaving Man City

“Another massive win. We knew it was going to be tough. You can sense the tension and how much it meant. We are very happy. I’ve got a lot of hair, but now I’m starting to worry that I could lose it all.

Kai Havertz rose highest to score a header from a Bukayo Saka corner in the first half, which proved to be the only goal of the game despite plenty of chances for the hosts.

Elsewhere, the big news of the night came from Arsenal’s title rivals Manchester City as head coach Pep Guardiola is set to leave the club at the end of the season. City are in action on Tuesday night against Bournemouth and must win or Arsenal will be crowned champions.

Here’s what the Arsenal boss had to say when speaking to Sky Sports as he reflected on that game:

💬“We didn’t concede anything but 1-0 in the Premier League can lead to any situation, you never know. It’s another massive one.

“It’s one of the best halves of football that we have played this season. It should have been two or three goals (in the first half). That’s the quality of this Burnley team. It’s never going to be easy. Especially with the quality that the Premier League has. Every club has an incredible spirit to defend its history and its pride.”
