Colo Colo have completed the signing of Cape Verde veteran goalkeeper Vozinha after the 40-year-old passed his medical and signed an official contract with the Chilean giants.
The move comes on the back of Vozinha’s breakout displays at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he played a central role in helping Cape Verde advance past the group stage for the first time. A string of key saves during the tournament put the shot-stopper firmly in the spotlight and sparked interest from clubs abroad.

Born Josimar Jose Evora Dias, Vozinha also saw his profile explode off the pitch. His Instagram following jumped from about 50,000 to nearly 30 million in the build-up to and during the World Cup, reflecting the wave of global attention on Cape Verde’s campaign.
The experienced keeper brings a well-traveled CV to Santiago. Outside Cape Verde, he has played in Angola, Moldova, Portugal, Cyprus and Slovakia. His career stops include Zimbru, Gil Vicente, AEL Limassol and Trencin, with Portuguese side Chaves serving as his most recent club before the Colo Colo switch.
Colo Colo said Vozinha’s leadership and tournament form made him an ideal addition as they push for domestic and continental silverware this season.
