Nigeria afropop star Davido is already counting down to the June 10 World Cup, with countdowns to be streamed live all over the world.
Taking to his X handle, the OBO pasted a poster of the event as he counted down happily to the global musical show.
Davido performed at the closing ceremony of the 2022 World Cup, and he’s looking forward to a bigger series of concerts that will usher in the Mundial in the U.S.
He wrote: “Los Angeles Countdown Concert lineup is here. June 10 at @cryptocomarena – the FIFA Countdown Concert, in collaboration with @recordingacad.

After FIFA confirmed live Mexico City and Toronto performances where the likes of Bryan Adams, Nora Fatehi, Sanjoy, Vegedream, AHI, and Wyclef Jean, Los Angeles Azules, Belinda, and Elena Rose will perform, now the line-up for the LA leg of the live show has been outlined.
The United States Countdown Concert, which is set to connect audiences across the three host nations through football, music, and culture in Los Angeles, will see the likes of Diplo’s Major Lazer and Davido perform as part of the synchronized live event.
These are the first artists announced for what promises to be an unforgettable night of music, football, and culture at the Crypto.com Arena.
The entire FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert will be broadcast live, with fans around the world able to tune in through FIFA’s global broadcast and digital channels.
