It was heart in mouth at RAMS Park.
Göztepe came to Istanbul with no fear and drew first blood. Miroshi stunned the champions in the 16th minute, silencing the yellow and red wall.
Galatasaray did not panic. Davinson Sánchez rose like a warrior to head home the equalizer and drag Gala back into the fight.
Then came Victor Osimhen. The Super Eagles talisman turned creator first, sliding a perfect pass for Sara to smash Galatasaray ahead 2-1 before halftime. The crowd roared, and Osimhen was just getting started.
In the 63rd minute he stepped up, ice in his veins, and buried a penalty. 3-1. That strike took him to five goals already this season.
Göztepe clawed one back late to set up a nervy finish, but Okan Buruk’s men held firm.
Final score: Galatasaray 3-2 Göztepe.
With the win, the Lions climb to the summit after three games as their title defense gathers steam. Osimhen is leading the charge.
