Fifty-six days in kidnappers den have taken its toll on Mrs. Rachael Alamu, the principal of the Oriire school in Oyo State, as she has revealed she’s not going back into the classroom.

She is considering leaving the teaching profession after 28 years of service.

According to her, the daily journey from Ogbomoso to Esiele, Monday through Friday, had already been physically and emotionally demanding. Following the traumatic ãbduction experience, she says she is no longer certain she can return to teaching in the village.

“Travelling from Ogbomoso to Esiele every Monday through Friday was already a major challenge for me. After this ãbduction incident, and with only four years left before my retirement, I’m no longer sure I can return to the village,” she said.
