It is celebration time for Nollywood powerhouse Funke Akindele as the actress, filmmaker and producer marks another year today.
And true to her signature spirit, she did not just blow out candles. She bowed her head in thanksgiving.
In a heartfelt message shared with fans, Funke poured out gratitude to God for carrying her through every season. She reflected on the wins, the lessons, the mistakes and the challenges, saying that through it all, God has remained her strength and her shield.
“Even in moments when I have fallen short, He has given me the grace to rise, learn, keep going and become better,” she wrote.
But this birthday prayer was bigger than herself. Funke asked for good health, long life, peace and the grace to keep walking in purpose. More importantly, she prayed that her life continues to mean something beyond her, that she can touch more lives, open more doors, nurture more talents, raise more stars and give others the chance to become all God called them to be.
“May I never stop giving back. May I never stop growing. May my life remain a testimony,” she added.
