Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho has vowed to keep firing after writing his name into Turkish football history books with Bursaspor.
The Nigerian striker scored twice and provided an assist as Bursaspor thrashed Muglaspor 3-0 away from home on Thursday, extending his incredible scoring streak to 10 consecutive matches in the Turkish First League — a new all-time record.
Second-Half Masterclass Seals Victory
After a frustrating goalless first half, Iheanacho broke the deadlock in the 58th minute following a clever assist from Halil Akbunar.
He doubled Bursaspor’s lead in the 79th minute with a clinical finish before turning provider, setting up Huseyin Maldar to complete the rout four minutes later.
The emphatic victory lifted Bursaspor to second place on the table with 22 points.
“We Controlled The Game”
Speaking after the match, Iheanacho said Bursaspor had to dig deep before taking total control after the break.
“It was a great performance, especially in the second half. It was difficult in the first half, but we controlled the game very well in the second half and scored the goals,” he told beIN SPORTS.

“We’re happy to win. They are a strong side, and we won away from home today, so we’re really happy.”
Eyes On More Goals
The former Manchester City and Leicester City star is now in the form of his life, with 14 goals and three assists in just 10 appearances this season.
His 10-match scoring run has surpassed the legendary nine-game streaks previously held by Turkish football icons Metin Oktay and Saffet Sancakli, a record that stood for over six decades.
“I’m happy with my performance as well, helping the team move up the table. We’re now second in the league, so we hope to get more points. Hopefully, the goals will keep coming, and at the end, we will crown our efforts with victory,” Iheanacho added.
