In a stunning political twist, the APC has named opposition figures as its presidential campaign coordinators!

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Anambra Governor Chukwuma Soludo have all been named coordinators for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign, despite belonging to different parties.

Adeleke To Lead APC Campaign In Osun Despite Accord Ticket

The bombshell is contained in a revised APC Presidential Campaign Council list released Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

Adeleke, who won re-election on August 16, 2026 under Accord Party, is listed as APC coordinator for Osun State. The move has sparked intense debate about cross-party mobilisation and what it means for 2027.

The appointment alone does not mean he has defected, but it signals APC’s rainbow coalition strategy.

Wike, Soludo Also In

Wike, a PDP chieftain, will coordinate Rivers State and FCT, while APGA’s Soludo will coordinate Anambra.

President Tinubu will chair the council, with Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda as vice-chairmen. Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will serve as deputy vice-chairmen.

Former Zamfara Governor Abdulaziz Yari is Director-General.

Inauguration Tomorrow

Several serving governors, ministers, former governors and party chieftains are also in the structure.

The council will be inaugurated by Tinubu at Presidential Villa Abuja on Wednesday, October 14, as APC intensifies push for 2027.

With Accord, PDP and APGA leaders now wearing APC campaign caps, 2027 is already looking like strangest election yet!
