It was a night of goals, drama and stunning comebacks as the UEFA Champions League Matchday 3 produced 31 goals across 9 games on Tuesday.

PSG 4-2 Barcelona – Thriller in Paris

The headline clash at Parc des Princes lived up to billing. Holders Paris Saint-Germain maintained their perfect start with a thrilling 4-2 win over Barcelona.

Desire Doue opened the scoring late in the first half. Barcelona equalized through 19-year-old Xavi Espart on his full Champions League debut in the 55th minute, before Lucas Hernandez headed PSG back in front in the 72nd.

Lamine Yamal leveled again with a brilliant solo effort from a tight angle seven minutes later, but PSG finished stronger. Vitinha drilled in from the edge of the box in the 81st minute and Fabian Ruiz sealed it in the 86th to keep Luis Enrique’s men top with 9 points from 3 games.

Liverpool 4-3 Villarreal – Reds Complete Epic Comeback

At Anfield, Liverpool overturned a two-goal deficit to beat Villarreal 4-3. Villarreal stunned the hosts with goals from Georges Mikautadze in the 4th minute and Sergi Cardona in the 29th to lead 2-0.

Alexis Mac Allister pulled one back in the 36th before an own-goal made it 2-2 at the break. Mac Allister and Florian Wirtz then put Liverpool 4-2 up before Villarreal’s late consolation made for a tense finish. Rio Ngumoha was praised for his spark off the bench.

Man City 5-1 AEK Athens, Roma 4-0 Slovan

Manchester City were ruthless at the Etihad as Phil Foden hit a hat-trick in a 5-1 thrashing of AEK Athens. City led 2-0 at halftime and ran riot after the break.

In Rome, AS Roma bounced back from Matchday 2 disappointment with a dominant 4-0 win over Slovan Bratislava at the Stadio Olimpico.

Other Results

Napoli edged Bodo/Glimt 4-3 in another seven-goal thriller in Naples, while PSV Eindhoven claimed a vital 1-0 away win at FC Porto.

In the early kick-offs, Borussia Dortmund came from behind to beat Sabah 2-1 in Azerbaijan, VfB Stuttgart drew 1-1 with 10-man Atletico Madrid, and Fenerbahce and Slavia Prague shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw in Istanbul.
