The Nigeria Police has confirmed the arrest of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi in Osun state.
According to the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Anietie Iniedu, the suspect was arrested without incident by a team of IRT operatives and has been moved into police custody for further interrogation.
This was done some hours after court issued warrant arrest of the Director-General of the alleged “fake” Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), he has been taken into police custody.
Justice Mohammed Umar issued the warrant of arrest earlier on Tuesday following an oral application by the prosecution counsel, Mr Wisdom Madaki, after the defendant failed to honour the court’s summons.
Adeyemi is facing an eight-count charge bordering on alleged forgery, fraud and impersonation.
