The Federal Government has acquired 10 new military aircraft and helicopters to boost the war against terrorists, bandits and kidnappers across the country.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to formally induct the platforms in the coming days as part of a major offensive to reclaim every inch of Nigerian territory from criminal gangs.
The disclosure was made on by the Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (rtd.), after a marathon security meeting with President Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.
Tinubu’s War Directive: No More Terror Camps
President Tinubu ordered security chiefs to rescue all Nigerians held captive and ensure no terrorist or bandit is allowed to maintain a camp anywhere in the country.
Gen. Musa said the President was unequivocal in his directive, charging the Armed Forces, Police and intelligence agencies to go all out and fish out all abductees wherever they are.
“The directive from the President is: all of us must go all out to fish out and rescue all those that have been abducted or kidnapped wherever they are. There shouldn’t be any camp of any terrorists or bandits anywhere in Nigeria,” Musa said.

The Minister said the meeting, which lasted over three hours, reviewed the security situation nationwide, with particular concern over abductees still in captivity in Borno, Zamfara and Niger states, including some held for over 150 days.
10 New War Birds To Hit The Skies
Gen. Musa revealed that the acquisition of the 10 aircraft and helicopters underscores the administration’s determination to prioritize national security despite economic pressures.
He said the platforms will significantly enhance air operations, surveillance, rapid troop deployment and precision strikes against terrorists’ enclaves in forests and border communities.
“Many things have been done: an increase in the recruitment processes, training exercises, and procurement. Soon, Mr President will inaugurate a set of new aircraft and helicopters that have been bought, about 10 of them,” he stated.
