Following Nigeria’s defeat to Cameroon Sunday, at the ongoing WAFCON, the Super Falcons will have to redirect through a longer route to play at the World Cup.
Cameroon beat Nigeria to one of the four automatic tickets for Africa with a lone goal victory in Morocco.
For Super Falcons to qualify for the World Cup, they now have to win 3 matches.
Now, Falcons must defeat South Africa on Thursday in the Africa playoffs.

Then, qualify for the intercontinental playoffs and play matches in Nov/Dec 2026.
If they finished as the top two teams in Dec, they will then play a final game in Feb 2027 to eventually qualify.
