Activities marking the Platinum Anniversary and Retirement at 70, of Professor Isaac Ayodele Olatunji, a professor of Applied Valuation, will round off Thursday May, 28, 2026, with a reception program at Omoloju Hall, Afao Road, Ado-Ekiti.
The reception programme begins at 2.00 pm.
The Reception in Honour of the illustrious academic career of Professor Olatunji is the peak of activities that started on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Ndoma Egba Hall of the Federal University of Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), when Professor Olatunji delivered the 24th Inaugural Lecture of the University.
The Inaugural Lecture was the first from the Faculty of Environmental Design and Management (EDM).
According to Professor Olatunji, the lecture titled
“HOUSING CARE AND SUPPORT FOR NIGERIANS – EXPLORING THE OPTIMALITY DIMENSION TO A CRITICAL REAL ESTATE DECISION” was a success. “It was a colourful event blending tradition with modernity, the town with the gown,” attended by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole, associates, family members, friends, and loved ones of the professor.
The reception programme is a blend of hymns, songs, prayers and tributes from associates, friends and family members, cutting of commemorative cakes, and toasting to the well-being of the professor.
Prof Olatunji, while thanking all those who have come in his honour, stated that retirement is not the end for him.
“This celebration is not the end, but the beginning of a new chapter. I step into retirement with a heart full of gratitude and unwavering commitment to serve God and humanity in a new way.”
