Nigeria and the entire world are awash with old photos of 19-year-old Lionel Messi with a five-month-old Lamine Yamal.
One of the images shows 19-year-old Messi bathing a baby Lamine Yamal, while others show the Argentine captain carrying and dotting on the visibly excited baby Yamal.
The images have gained traction on social media and online news.
The photos resurfaced ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and Spain after both players guided their nations to the biggest stage in international football.
Messi, now Argentina’s captain and global football icon, will face Yamal, Spain’s teenage sensation, in a final that has added a remarkable twist to their shared history.
