Burna Boy will again put Nigeria on the world map when he performs during a historic halftime show during Sunday’s final of the 2026 World Cup between Spain and Argentina.
Many international stars will appear on stage. Justin Bieber, Shakira, Madonna, BTS and the PS22 Chorus, while iconic characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets will also make an appearance.
The show will be curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. Production is in the hands of Global Citizen, which aims to raise funds through the event for educational projects and football initiatives for children worldwide.

It is not just during halftime that they go all out. An elaborate closing ceremony begins an hour and a half before kick-off, featuring performances by Post Malone, Robbie Williams, Laura Pausini, Nicole Scherzinger, and internet phenomenon IShowSpeed. Jennifer Hudson will perform the American national anthem.
