Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has confirmed on social media that he and his partner, Isabella Rousso, are now married.
Ahead of jetting off to pre-season, Martinelli and Rousso tied the knot in what appeared to be a small intimate ceremony surrounded by family and friends.
On Tuesday evening, the Brazilian uploaded a number of pictures of the occasion to his Instagram story which included the pair exchanging rings and later driving off in a smart white convertible.
However, at least for the time being, there will be no honeymoon as Martinelli and fellow Brazilian Gabriel are scheduled to join up with Arsenal team in Girona before their friendly on Saturday, August 1.
Their national team were knocked out of the World Cup by Martin Odegaard’s Norway just over three weeks ago.
Mikel Arteta’s squad are now due to fly out to Spain later this week to continue their preparations ahead of defending their Premier League title crown.
While games against Girona and Real Betis, before returning to London to play Borussia Dortmund and Como, will be Arteta’s priority, sporting director Andrea Berta and his team are firmly focused on transfers.
