The Labour Party candidate for Rivers East Senatorial District, Comrade Chief Beatrice Itubo, has said she will work for any candidate endorsed by the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State.

Itubo said as a committed member of the Rainbow Coalition, she will support Hon. Allwell Onyesoh, who was endorsed by the coalition to represent Rivers East.

She said the decision is to ensure the coalition does not lose any senatorial seat, including the governorship and other elective positions in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking in an interview with http://Newsafricng.com shortly after a stakeholders meeting of the coalition held in Port Harcourt, Itubo said the coalition is one big family and must present one candidate to secure bulk votes and achieve victory at the polls.

“The Rainbow Coalition is one big family, so it will not be good to field more than one candidate; that will surely scatter our votes.

“So as it is, I will work and support Hon. Onyesoh, whom the group has endorsed, and there is nothing wrong with working for a group I belong to and achieving success,” she said.
