Yemi Alade was the cynosure on stage during a special performance held as part of the Africa Forward Summit, an event attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, in Nairobi, Kenya.

The star artiste flew in from Nigeria, and she was joined on stage by Young dancers from the Sherrie Silver Foundation, founded by renowned Rwandan choreographer and dancer Sherrie Silver.

The international summit took place in Nairobi from May 11 to 12, 2026, bringing together heads of state, global investors, and leaders of major institutions from across the world.

The Africa Forward Summit hosted more than 25 African heads of state and over 4,000 investors. The event aimed at creating a new vision for cooperation between Africa and France, with a strong focus on trade and investment rather than traditional aid partnerships.

The summit concluded with a star-studded concert held on the final night, attended by distinguished guests including Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto. The concert also featured performances from artists such as Bien-Aimé Baraza, Jose Chameleone, and Youssou N’Dour, among others.
