Following comments in which popular Hausa singer Dauda Kahutu Rarara accused Davido of promoting terrorism, the hip hop crooner has threatened to sue her.

The controversy began after Davido appeared at the FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert in Los Angeles wearing a jacket bearing the inscription “Bring Them Home” alongside the names of abducted schoolchildren and teachers from Oyo State. The gesture was intended to draw global attention to the victims’ plight.

Reacting to the display, Rarara described Davido’s action as “barbaric” and questioned why the singer would “promote Ansaru terrorists or insecurity-related issues” before a global audience. The singer insists that Davido is supposed to conceal Nigeria’s problems.

Davido fired back on social media, accusing Rarara of placing politics above truth and insisting that Nigerians must not remain silent about the country’s worsening insecurity.

He maintained that speaking out against insecurity is an act of patriotism, not an attempt to tarnish the nation’s reputation.
