It was celebration galore for teeming fans of Arsenal across Nigeria, celebrating an enduring 22-year wait for the EPL title.

The fans erupted in wild jubilation at home, pubs, and viewing centers in different parts of the country.

They took over social media to celebrate what has been a pulsating EPL campaign that almost went into the final day.

Thanks to Bournemouth, which held Arsenal arch rival Manchester City to a 1-1 draw at home.

Former Arsenal player Kanu Nwankwo and Nigeria football team captain reconstructed the 2004 Invincible Year of Gunners by writing: “KAN U believe it??? Arsenal Forever. The Gunners worked so hard for this. Difficult, but they fought. Very well deserved. Come on, you Gunners.”

The draw cut Arsenal’s lead on the table to four points, but enough to make their final match away to Crystal Palace a mere formality.

Even fans of other EPL clubs join hands in wishing Arsenal supporters deserving winners.

A fervent Liverpool supporter, Okorie, wrote on his social media handle: ‘Congratulations to all Arsenal Fc fans on your well-deserved victory.  You were the best team in the EPL this season by miles, and you’ve proven it. Congrats, and we all stand up for the champions 🏆 !!!”

Another, a Chelsea die-hard supporter, said: “Arsenal players watched the Bournemouth vs City game together at their training ground! What a joy to know that Sunday’s game will be a formality and they will receive a Guard of Honour from Crystal Palace players and also lift the Premier League Trophy!”

Dele Alimi, erstwhile DG of the Institute of Directors (IoD) splashed  Arsenal banner and pictures on his social media handles to celebrate. He also wrote: “Arsenal is the 2026 Premier League champions…and in case you forget, this is our 14th title.”

Others like Tunde Eludini, a journalist, Emma Akinola, Yemi Ogiri, Leslie Magnus, Yinka Ladipo, Rashidi Adewuyi, who is a retired Police officer, and all Arsenal supporters were explosive in celebration.

Leslie wrote: “Congratulations to Arsenal F.C. fans everywhere. We finally made it after 22 long years!

Through the heartbreaks, near misses, endless banter, and unwavering belief — the faithful kept standing strong. Today, patience, loyalty, and resilience have paid off. 22 years later, the red half of North London rises again. Champions mentality. Champions reward.

“To every Gooner across the world: celebrate this moment with pride. History remembered, destiny fulfilled. Once a Gunner, always a Gunner. ❤️⚽🏆💪🏽😎”

Arsenal Supporters Club Surulere Lagos are already planning a grand parade to celebrate around Lagos state. It is slated for the 25th of this month.

For many of them, this was more than just another trophy—it was the end of years of heartbreak, banter, near misses, and painful collapses.

Across Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Port Harcourt, Benin, Ibadan, and several other cities, jubilant fans flooded social media timelines with emotional reactions, videos, celebrations, and years of stored-up excitement finally released after two decades of waiting.

For many younger Nigerian fans, this was their first time witnessing Arsenal win the Premier League.

The club’s last league title came back in 2004 during Arsène Wenger’s famous unbeaten season featuring legends like Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, Robert Pires, and Dennis Bergkamp.
