Governorship hopeful Ladi Adebutu has broken his silence after his name was shockingly omitted from INEC’s published list of Ogun governorship candidates for 2027, reassuring supporters there is no cause for alarm and pointing accusing fingers at APC.
I Remain PDP, My Documents Are Intact – Adebutu
In a passionate statement to Ogun people on Tuesday, Adebutu declared he remains a duly registered member of PDP.
“I completed my digital registration within stipulated period, my membership card was printed and verified. My documentation was duly submitted to INEC within prescribed time. I have not at any point left PDP,” he stated.
He stressed that the governorship primary that produced him as candidate was conducted with INEC officials in attendance as observers, with relevant documents presented for verification, certification and confirmation.

APC Mounting Pressure On INEC – Ogun PDP
Adebutu said Ogun State PDP has expressed serious concern over undue pressure mounted by ruling All Progressives Congress on INEC.
He questioned why his name alone was omitted when all other PDP candidates for House of Assembly, House of Representatives and Senate appeared on published lists.
“This raises serious questions. We will pursue matter through appropriate channels and insist due process is respected,” he said.
No Intimidation Will Stop Us
The PDP chieftain recalled past frustrations including restrictions on billboards, attacks at campaign grounds and harassment of members, yet party remained peaceful and determined.

“No amount of intimidation should prevent people of Ogun from having fair opportunity to choose leaders of choice,” Adebutu fired.
He urged members and supporters to remain calm and steadfast, assuring the matter will be resolved.
“Our cause is bigger than any individual. It is about dignity of our people and progress of our state. OGUN FOR OGUN is more than slogan. It is a call for leadership rooted in our people. We remain focused. We remain resolute. Journey to better Ogun continues,” Adebutu declared.
