Nigeria is winning global praise!

World Bank Group has openly commended Nigeria’s bold economic reforms, describing progress as remarkable at ongoing 2026 IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok, Thailand.

Private Capital Explodes From $300m To $6 Billion

World Bank President Ajay Banga gave thumbs up during high-level meeting with Nigeria’s Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele and CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso.

Banga was blown away by Nigeria’s private capital inflows, which have exploded from just about $300 million in 2023 to nearly $6 billion in 2026, 20 times growth in three years!

That is massive vote of confidence from global investors!

Tax-To-GDP Jumps From 7% To 12.5%

Finance Minister Oyedele also showcased another big win, government revenue mobilisation.

Nigeria’s tax-to-GDP ratio has jumped from about 7% to 12.5%, showing reforms are blocking leakages and expanding net without crushing citizens.

Discussions focused on next big moves, attracting more private investment, financing critical infrastructure, fixing power sector, developing human capital and ensuring public resources deliver real benefits to Nigerians.

Jobs, Businesses, Better Life For Nigerians

Federal Government says priority now is to make gains from reforms translate into more jobs, stronger businesses and improved living standards.

From stabilisation to growth, Nigeria’s shift is gaining World Bank recognition and world is watching.
